Fanatic Muslims attack Hindus over a minor dispute in Navsari, Gujarat

Threats to vacate the area and warnings of murder issued
Police claim the incident has no religious angle

Navsari (Gujarat) – On the night of 7^th December, a dispute over vehicle parking in the Dargah Road area escalated into a violent attack by Muslims on Hindus. During the incident, Hindu women were also assaulted. The religious fanatic Muslims reportedly threatened to kill Hindus and forcibly drive them out of the area. Although the Police have registered a complaint, they stated that the conflict stemmed from a parking dispute and was not religiously motivated.

1. Victim Chandan Rathod explained that the conflict began when a Hindu youth had a parking-related argument with a Muslim individual. Shortly after, a mob of 100 to 150 Muslims arrived at the scene, armed with sticks and other weapons. They assaulted the Hindu women present and behaved obscenely. They also shouted, “Kafirs (those who do not accept Allah and the Quran), leave this place. This is our area. This is just the beginning.”

2. Chandan Rathod further stated that, “The Dargah Road area is predominantly Muslim. There is a dargah, next to which, there is a Hindu temple. Over the past three years, Muslims have prevented Hindus from celebrating festivals. During Ganeshotsav, they stopped bhajans and kirtans by forcefully entering the pandals. Hindu women attending religious events in the area have also faced harassment.”

India is starting to resemble Bangladesh

Several women shared videos of the attack on social media. In one video, a woman asked, “Is it a crime to be Hindu ? They threatened to slit our throats and throw us out. India is starting to resemble Bangladesh. Do Hindus no longer have the right to live in India ?”

Hindus expect such incidents should not occur when there is BJP rule in Gujarat for so several years in the past.
Even if the Police claim no religious angle, it is equally true that fanatic Muslims often look for excuses to attack Hindus. Why won’t the Police acknowledge this truth ?
