Moscow (Russia) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Prime Minister Modi, affirming, “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a very wise man. We share very good political relations with him. India has been making very great strides in development under his leadership. This fully meets the interest of both the countries”. Putin delivered these remarks during an address at an event related to financial security. At this time, he also expressed hope for further cooperation between Russia and India in the field of financial security and fight against cybercrime. Furthermore, Putin emphasised, “India and Russia have been friends and partners for centuries. We will definitely achieve the agenda agreed by both the countries”
About a month ago, at the G20 Summit held in Delhi, India made a statement about establishing peace between Russia and Ukraine but didn’t put the blame on Russia. Moscow had supported this declaration and India’s G20 presidency.
Editorial Perspective
Given the recurring accolades Prime Minister Modi receives from Vladimir Putin, it would not be unexpected if a Congress leader were to comment that ‘Putin is an international activist of BJP.’ |
