Court orders to bring local advocate for bail application of Chinmoy Prabhu

Advocate Pujya Ravindra Ghosh’s appointment as lawyer rejected

Chittagong sessions court in Bangladesh denied bail to Chinmay Prabhu again on the pretext of seeking a local lawyer

Chittagong (Bangladesh) – On December 12th, Judge Mohammad Saiful Islam of the Metropolitan Sessions Court in Chittagong, Bangladesh, asked Supreme Court Advocate Pujya Ravindra Ghosh to find a local advocate in Chittagong in the case of ISKCON member Chinmoy Prabhu’s bail application. After this, Advocate Pujya Ravindra Ghosh appointed local advocate Sumit Acharya. Earlier, the Court had rejected Chinmoy Prabhu’s bail application, stating that Advocate Pujya Ravindra Ghosh did not have the power of attorney to fight Prabhu’s case.

Advocate Pujya Ravindra Ghosh said, “On December 11th, the Court did not listen to me as I did not have Chinmoy Prabhu’s power of attorney. Later I received it. Chinmoy Prabhu filed an application for bail from the jail. On that, the Court asked me to take local advocates along with me. Accordingly, I have taken advocate Sumit Acharya with me.”

Editorial Perspective

This incident shows that the Courts in Bangladesh are also anti-Hindu and are persecuting Hindus. Note that the pro-democratic political parties in India are not opening their mouths against this.
