Varanasi (UP) – Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth has visited Varanasi for the Chaturmas Vrat Mahotsav. Later he will go to Ayodhya. For the peace and salvation of the souls of the Kar Sevaks who lost their lives during the Ram Mandir movement in Ayodhya, there will be a Shraddha ritual on the banks of Saryu on 10th October. Shankaracharya Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati will be performing the Shraddha. He will be staying at Ayodhya for 20 days.

During the resolution, he said that Ayodhya and Kanchi are related to Tretayuga. Kamakshi Devi is the patriarch of the Suryavanshi kings and with her blessings, King Dashrath got Shriram as his son. This incident is described in Lalitopakhyan.

Editorial Perspective

Now it will not be a wonder if the anti-Hindus express their protest for this. The irony is, these secularists and progressives call Shraddha ritual to be a myth, but they will not leave any stone unturned to criticise Hindu Dharma, thus they will question Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati about this.
