
Washington (US) – State Georgia in the US has announced October as ‘Hindu Heritage Month’. The decision is the result of considering the contribution of Hindus there. Hindu festivals such as Dussehra and Diwali come in October; Hindus in Georgia have been asking for it for many years.
The Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp said while declaring October month as ‘Hindu Heritage Month’, we will celebrate this month by keeping the Indian culture and various spiritual traditions as the nucleus.

Hindu Organisation, ‘Coalition of Hindus of North America’, has written a letter to Brian Kemp, the Governor of Georgia, thanking him for this. The organisation said that the Hindu religion has contributed a lot at the cultural level in the US.
