Railway administration orders demolition of 2 prominent mosques in Delhi

Railway administration informed that the mosques were built on encroached land

New Delhi – The Railway administration has issued notices to the management of two prominent mosques in the city namely ‘Bengali Market Masjid’ and ‘Takia Babbar Shah’. “Remove both these mosques within 15 days or Railway officials will demolish them,” the notice said. The management of both the mosques said that these mosques are hundreds of years old. The Railway administration claimed that these mosques have been built on encroached land of Railways. The Railway administration has warned that, “Action will be taken against the mosques as per Railway Act. The management board of mosques will be held accountable for the damages incurred during the encroachment removal process.”
