Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – Uttar Pradesh Police recently arrested Aftab accused in the ‘Love Jihad’ case. Aftab, the accused in the case of gang rape of a Hindu girl, was moving about wearing a burqa, pretending to be a Muslim woman. According to a media report, this case is from the Nagar Kotwali area of Hapur. In February 2023, a Hindu girl victim filed a complaint against a youth named Aftab. The victim girl had said in the complaint, “I met Aftab in November 2022. Aftab took me to a hotel in Ghaziabad. There he gave me drugs to make me unconscious. Aftab and some of his accomplices gang-raped me. They also recorded my obscene video. Aftab threatened me and extorted Rs 70,000 from me”. Since the case has been registered against Aftab, he had disappeared. (Shame on the Police for not arresting the accused in the rape case immediately. – Editor).
