Still claims he has nothing against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj !

Aurangabad (Maharashtra) – We are not against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, but I had even earlier opposed naming the city as Sambhajinagar and I will continue to do so, was the anti-Hindu statement of MP and AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel after the Central Government gave its approval to the proposal put up by Maharashtra Government for change in the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar and Usmanabad to Dharashiv. It was pending for many years due to Muslim-appeasement policies.

Jaleel said further, “We have respect for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Shahu Maharaj, and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, but we never used their names to play politics. The Government has changed the city’s name, but the name of the District is still Aurangabad. It cannot be changed. I can oppose the decision taken by the Government. It is my right.
