Islamabad (Pakistan) – The death toll of a self-destructive bomb blast when people were offering namaz in a mosque at Peshawar in Pakistan has now reached 100. Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a terrorist organisation has owned the responsibility for the bomb blast. Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Asif admitted in the Parliament that sowing seeds of terrorism was their own doing. Devotees did not ever die while praying in either India or Israel, but it has happened in Pakistan. Khawaja Asif referred to the terrorist attacks carried out from 2010 to 2017. He said, “The terrorist war was started during the regime of Pakistan People’s Party in Swat region, while in the regime of the previous Government of PML-N party, peace was established from Karachi to Swat region. I don’t want to say much about it, but we only have sown the seeds of terrorism. If we want to be free from terrorism, we have to show unity, as was shown in 2011-12. We need the same kind of unity now.”
The minister’s statement came a day after a massive explosion at a mosque in Peshawar claimed 100 lives and injured several others. https://t.co/AhdSRohRWC

Pakistan should not fight a war in the interest of the USA !
Asif said further that Pakistan always wanted to be a puppet in the hands of the superpower. Now, Pakistan is the only nation fighting against terrorism. We should have good relations with the USA, but Pakistan should not fight wars at the behest of the USA in their interest. We want the conditions in Afghanistan to improve.
Creating terrorists is our collective mistake ! – Pakistan’s Home Minister
Pakistan’s Home Minister Rana Sanaullah said in the Parliament that creating ‘mujahideen (fighters to fight with non-Muslims)’ and fighting wars with their help was our collective mistake. There was no need for us to be ‘mujahideen’. We created ‘mujahideen’ who later became terrorists. Pakistan has been a shelter for the maximum number of inhumane terrorists worldwide for a long time, and we are now paying its price because terrorist attacks are increasing. The previous Government led by Imran Khan had released terrorists of ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’ who were to undergo death sentences.
Editorial viewpoint
Pakistan’s admitting its mistake after 75 years has no meaning. The truth is, it is soon going to be the victim of its own created demon of terrorism. |
