The issue of discrediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi
New Delhi – TMC Spokesperson and known to be close to Bengal Chief Minister Saket Gokhale arrested at Jaipur Airport by Gujarat Police. On 1st of December 2022, the Morbi Bridge collapsed killing 135 individuals.

Thereafter, Modi visited the site. Then Gokhale posted a tweet in which he had posted “screenshots” of purported news reports claiming Rs 30 crore was spent for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Morbi in Gujarat. Actually, it was found that no information had been sought under the RTI Act. He was arrested for trying to discredit Prime Minister Modi. Gokhale had tweeted that “RTI reveals that Modi’s visit to Morbi for a few hours cost Rs 30 cr. Of this Rs 5.5. Cr was purely for “welcome, event management, & photography”.
