Beijing (China) – India will chair the G20 summit this year. India will host the event in Jammu and Kashmir. Initially, Pakistan and now China have objected to this.

1. Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said China’s policy on Kashmir is clear. Pakistan and India already have an ongoing conflict over Kashmir. According to the relevant UN resolution and bilateral agreement, a proper solution must be reached.

2. In response to whether China would attend the G20 meeting or not, Lijian replied that we will think whether China will attend the meeting or not.

Editorial viewpoint

India needs to send a clear message to China that it should not interfere in India’s internal affairs or else India will speak out about China’s atrocities against Muslims in Xinjiang
