Ramnathi, (Goa) – Just as Angad was unshakeable in the meeting with Ravana, Hindu devotees should also be firm while doing Dharmakarya, only then can we make significant contributions to the establishment of Hindu Rashtra. This view was put forth by Advocate Bharat Sharma, the patron of Dharohar Bachao Samiti, Rajasthan.

He was speaking during the session on ‘Experiences of Hindu activists working for the protection of temples’ at the 10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan. Dr Mridul Shukla, founder of the Akhil Bharatiya Vijnan Dal, Mr Jayaram N., the President of Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam, Bengaluru, Mr Dinesh Kumar Jain, Deputy Director, BJP’s Business and Trading Tourist Cell, Karnataka, and H.B.P. Ramakrishna Hanumant Maharaj Veer from Solapur were on the dais.

Advocate Sharma said,

Advocate Bharat Sharma, Patron, Dharohar Bachao Samiti, Rajasthan

“Many temples were demolished in Jaipur under the guise of development. An ancient Shiva temple at Kamagad was demolished. We restored the Shivlinga there with the help of local Hindus. The fanatics who demolished the temple were arrested on the same day. If Hindus come forward voluntarily for Dharmakarya, then we will definitely be successful.”

Let’s re-establish Sanatan Dharma in society by teaching everyone to practice Dharma ! – Dr Mridul Shukla, Founder, Akhil Bharatiya Vijnan Dal

We established the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Vigyan Dal’ to create awareness about the scientific nature of Sanatan Dharma. Through this, we also inspired many to study Sanatan Dharma. We can also re-establish Sanatan Dharma in society through small acts like celebrating birthdays the dharmik way and not by cutting cakes.

Massive corruption by people of other religions in Sabarimala temple administration ! – Jayaram N., Vice President, Sabrimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam, Bangalore (Urban), Karnataka

Jayaram N., Vice President, Sabrimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam, Bangalore (Urban), Karnataka

The communist government in Kerala tried to destroy the tradition of not allowing women in the age group of 10 to 50 years to enter the Sri Ayyappa Temple. We also protested against this. The management of temples in Kerala is in the hands of Muslims and Christians. This leads to many malpractices. Ingredients like rice, ghee etc. for preparing temple prasad are procured from vendors of other religions. This provides them with a business worth Rs. 4 to 10 crores. We also protested against this. The ‘Irumudi Kattu’ (puja offerings) is offered to the Deity. It contains half to one kg of rice. The collected rice is auctioned. Others buy rice at auction and then sell it to the government at Rs 6 per kg. This rice is then mixed with the rice that the government distributes for free. In this way, people of other religions are engaged in massive corruption when it comes to temple offerings too.

Temples must impart education on Dharma to the Hindus ! – Mr Dinesh Kumar Jain, Deputy Director, BJP Business and Trading Tourist Cell, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka

Mr Dinesh Kumar Jain, Deputy Director, BJP Business and Trading Tourist Cell, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka

Some Christians and Muslims were engaged in illegal construction on land belonging to the Mahalingeshwar temple in Karnataka. The temple land records go far back to the times of Kings. We have filed a case against this in court and even won it. Funds donated by Hindu devotees to temples should be used for imparting Dharma education to Hindus. It is necessary to impart Dharma education to Hindus from temples in every village.

The token system in Pandharpur temple closed due to agitation ! – H.B.P. Ramakrishna Hanumant Maharaj Veer

H.B.P. Ramakrishna Hanumant Maharaj Veer

We protested against the token system used for obtaining the darshan of God in the temple at Pandharpur. This may be the norm in other temples, but we did not allow it in Pandharpur. Why take 100 to 200 rupees to meet God? We also sent legal notices to those concerned for violating the law. The temple management had calculated that the token system would generate Rs 14 crores a year; but that did not happen. The practice of separate darshan for VIPs should also be discontinued.

Hindus are responsible for the government takeover of temples. The priests in the temple are government officials. Because of this, they cannot even recite the mantras of the Deities they are supposed to worship. When we raised our voice by putting up a poster on the road about the corruption going on in the temple at Pandharpur, then the concerned authorities requested us to remove this plaque. We also took the poster down; But by then, the news had spread everywhere through Facebook and WhatsApp. So this was also a means to create awareness on Dharma.

Pro-Hindu organizations should take initiative to free the temple at Pandharpur from government control ! – H.B.P. Ramakrishna Hanumant Maharaj Veer

“Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is working to awaken Hindus. We get the help of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in legal matters. What are the benefits of temples being under government control? We also had a meeting about this, which received a very good response. Therefore, I request the Hindu organizations to take the initiative to liberate the Pandharpur temple from government control.
