Hindu youth killed by religious fanatics in Bhilwara, Rajasthan

Pro-Hindu organisations call for a bandh

Bhilwara (Rajasthan) – Tensions mounted in Bhilwara, Rajasthan as a 22-year-old Hindu youth named Adarsh Tapadia was stabbed to death by religious fanatics on the night of 10th May.  He is said to have been murdered due to an argument over money. He was part of the Hindu Jagran Manch. After the incident, the Vishva Hindu Parishad, the Hindu Jagran Manch, and the Bharatiya Janata Party declared Bhilwara bandh. A bike rally was carried out by the Pro-Hindu groups. Bandh received a good response and the internet services were banned for 24 hours in the area. Police have arrested 3 accused and reports mention that some of the accused are minors.


VHP’s Ganesh Prajapat said the communal riots are taking place frequently in Bhilwara and he demanded Rs 50 lakh ex gratia for the bereaved family. He called for the arrest of all the accused and said that the deceased Adarsh will not be cremated unless all the accused are caught.

BJP MLA of Bhilwara, Vitthal Awasthi said, “This incident is a shameful incident for Bhilwara and it is an eye-opener for the Police and the Government”.
