Aurangabad, 1st May – Hanuman Chalisa will be played with double the volume in temples from the 4th of May 2022 if loudspeakers on mosques were not removed by the 3rd of May 2022. Playing through the loudspeaker is a social issue. If you are going to paint it with communal colour, it has to be answered in the same language. Don’t force us to take such an extreme step. Loudspeakers can be removed in Uttar Pradesh, then why can’t they be removed in Maharashtra, asked Raj Thackeray, the President of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) during a rally held on the 1st of May 2022 at ‘Marathwada Sanskrutik Maidan’. He also said that Sharad Pawar, the President of the National Congress Party (NCP) has an allergy to the word ‘Hindu’; therefore, he played politics of castes and spread poison in society.
Loudspeakers fitted on many mosques in Maharashtra are illegal !
Raj Thackeray said, “Loudspeakers fitted on many mosques in Maharashtra are illegal. They don’t have the required permission. There are 600 mosques in Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). Who gave them the right to block the streets and offer namaz? It is a humble request to the Government that the 3rd of May 2022 is Eid and I don’t want to spoil anyone’s festival, but I will not listen to anyone from the 4th of May 2022. I request all Hindus in Maharashtra to play Hanuman Chalisa with double the volume wherever loudspeakers are used on mosques, though loudspeaker is not required in your Dharma.”

We should become Shivaji
Raj Thackeray said, “If one forgets history, the geography also slips from under his feet. Aurangzeb had understood that Shivaji was not just a person, but he was thought. We celebrate only the birth and death anniversaries of our great leaders. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar had said that many people get controlled here with supernatural power, but the day someone gets controlled by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we would be able to win the world. This is our Maharashtra, but today, the condition of Maharashtra is pathetic.”
Sharad Pawar created rift between different castes
Raj Thackeray said, “Sharad Pawar is creating a rift between different caste and communities, causing division in society. NCP promoted hatred amongst communities. Sharad Pawar started troubling Babasaheb Purandare because he was a brahmin. We are not concerned with anyone’s caste or creed. I don’t read books by first checking the caste of the writer; don’t go to anyone’s house only after checking his caste. In an interview, Pawar had told India Today that James Laine had never met Purandare. Why doesn’t Pawar say anything on this ? It is necessary to keep away from the politics of caste and creed. Pawar is allergic to the word ‘Hindu’. He has forgotten that it is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Maharashtra before Shahu, Phule, and Ambedkar.
Gag the Azaan caller !
Raj Thackeray said, on hearing the Azaan given on loudspeakers during his speech if Azaan was given even during his rally, gag the mouths of such Azaan-callers. He warned the Police that he cannot guarantee what would happen after the rally and asked them to stop the Azaan through loudspeakers on mosques.
