New Delhi – A petition seeking the expulsion of 5 crore illegal immigrants from the country has been pending in the Supreme Court since 2017. Editorial comments

  • It is a shame for the country that a petition has to be filed to expel crores of illegal immigrants from the country !
  • It is serious that despite Supreme Court issuing a notice to the Administration, no reply has been given. This is evident not only regarding this petition but also in several other petitions. This shows how much administrative officers value the Supreme Court. Now the SC itself needs to take strict action against such administrative officers !
  • The Administration’s silence on such a sensitive issue of national security is unacceptable. Will the issues of the general public ever get addressed in time when such high-priority issues are being kept pending for years ?
