Qutub Minar is the Garuda pillar of Vishnu temple, so it should be handed over to the Hindus : Vishva Hindu Parishad

Basically, there should be no need for making such a demand, the Central Government should hand it over to the Hindus and bring out the true history of the place.

New Delhi – Following a demand by some to move the Ganesh Idols found here to a museum, the site was visited by some Vishva Hindu Parishad’s Office bearers. They demanded that Qutub Minar should be handed over to the Hindus and that they should be allowed to worship here. They also said that if this demand was refused then they would appeal in the Courts.

VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that the minaret and mosque were built in the Qutub Minar complex by demolishing the same Vishnu temple as well as 27 Hindu and Jain temples. As the sculptures on the pillars and walls still testify that this was a temple.
