The High Court should refrain from making sweeping observations

Supreme Court’s advice to High Courts

New Delhi – While hearing a petition filed by the Centre challenging the Delhi High Court’s order, the Supreme Court advised the High Court not to make sweeping observations in connection with the issues before them.

The Delhi High Court had remarked on the Centre’s ‘Make in India’ scheme. The Central Government objected to it. The Supreme Court, expunging some comments of the High Court, gave the above advice to the High Court.
