Denigration of Shriram in ‘Mangalam Camphor’ ad

Editorial comments

  • Dear Hindus, boycott products that denigrate Hindu Deities !
  • Anyone denigrates Hindu Deities only because of a lack of religious pride in Hindus. This is not tolerance, but pure stupidity !
  • Devout Hindus demand that the Central Government should enact strict laws so that Hindu Deities are not disrespected.

This ad was uploaded to YouTube by a person named Ryan Mendonca. In this advertisement, a young man dressed as Shriram is shown with an ‘Android’ mobile phone. He is shown holding the mobile phone in front of him to take a ‘selfie’. He then sees a picture of his mother on the cell phone and suddenly remembers his mother asking him to bring camphor. Then the man dressed as Shrirama goes to a shop and asks for camphor. The shopkeeper is shown worshipping. The shopkeeper’s servant brings him ordinary camphor. The ad shows that the shopkeeper realises that ‘Shriram is asking for Camphor’ in front of him. The shopkeeper then throws away the camphor brought by the servant and takes out ‘Mangalam Camphor’ from the safe and gives it to the young man dressed as Shriram.
