
New Delhi – The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has released a WhatsApp number – 9013151515 to get real-time updates on vaccination in India. With the help of this number, people would be able to get updates on the availability of vaccines at the nearby vaccination centres. To start with, one needs to send a WhatsApp message to this number. Post the area Pin Code and the updates on the availability of vaccines at nearby vaccination centres are instantly provided on WhatsApp reply.

The Government officials are of the opinion that with this functionality, there would not be any hassle to get vaccinated. Also, there would be no need to visit the nearby vaccination centres repeatedly and unnecessarily to check if the vaccines are available. Once the online registration is completed, the user would get an appointment for a particular timeslot. Till then, he / she need not visit any vaccination centre.
