
Mangaluru (Karnataka) – A special puja is being performed in a renowned Naga Kshetra Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple to control the pandemic as well as for public well-being. One week of puja is being performed from 5th May through 11th May along with Hom-Havan. Dhanwantari Homa and Hom-Havan with recital of Krimihar Sukta is being held for controlling the pandemic.
Why Dhanwantari puja ?
Dhanwantari Homa has a special significance in Vedas, it is believed to eradicate the diseases. If a person suffering with various disorders resulting from misdeeds, performs puja, it pleases Deity Dhanwantari and he obtains the Deity’s grace. He is blessed with excellent health to continue his spiritual practice. It is also believed that the person can get rid of any kinds of diseases. Hence, the priests in Kshetra will perform a special puja.
