Latehar (Jharkhand) – On 5th July at Latehar, unknown assailants killed Jaywardhan Singh (aged 50), the District Mahamantri of BJP. On 7th July at the Barvadih market, hundreds of people gathered and protested against the killing by taking out a morcha to the Police station.
They sat down for agitation in front of the Police station. They demanded ‘Immediately arrest the killers of Singh, the NIA should investigate the killing, and provide police protection to the family members of Jaywardhan Singh.’ Only after the Police administration promised to take prompt action, the agitators dispersed.
