Ranchi (Jharkhand) – In Lalpur Police station, two youths have assaulted the Police personnel. A video of the incident has gone viral, raising questions about whether the fear of the Police still exists in society. The video shows one of the youths pushing a Policeman against a wall. The incident reportedly took place late on the night of September 6 ^{th .}

1. At around 1:00 a.m., two youths, identified as Ravi Ranjan Lakra and Vinod Lakra, were speeding in a white car.

2. Upon reaching Lalpur Chowk, the Police on patrol stopped them and requested their documents.

3. The youths responded using rude, vulgar, and filthy language, claiming to be workers of a political party. They also threatened the officers, saying, ” We can have your uniform removed in 2 minutes.”

4. The Police then took both to the Police station. There, the youths continued to argue, tore some documents, and assaulted the Police, leaving one person seriously injured.

5. Following the incident, the Police registered a case against both individuals and arrested them. It was later revealed that they were not affiliated to any political party and had been lying.

This incident is yet another example of how the fear of the Police is diminishing in society. Corruption within the Police department is to blame for this. If the Police had been honest to their duty, the society would have naturally developed a respectful fear towards them.
