Threats and deadly attack on elderly Hindu woman by fanatic Muslim after complaint of black magic

Bareilly (UP) – The elderly mother of Ankit Gupta, who runs a grocery shop in Sirauli town of Bareilly District, was seriously injured in an attack by her neighbour, Ali Mohammad. During the attack, Ali Mohammad threatened, “Leave Bareilly or else the situation will become like Bangladesh and Pakistan.” The Police have since arrested him.
Meena Gupta, Ankit’s elderly mother, had filed a Police complaint against Ali Mohammad, accusing him of practicing black magic. However, instead of taking any action, the Police tried to mediate between the two parties. Enraged by the complaint, Ali Mohammad attacked Meena Gupta, breaking her jaw with an iron rod, which also caused her to lose several teeth. Although there were bystanders present during the attack, none intervened to help her.
