Tel Aviv (Israel) – Hamas spokesperson Osama Hamdan stated in an interview with CNN that it is unknown how many of the 120 Israeli hostages are still alive.
Hamdan further mentioned that any agreement for the release of hostages would require two conditions: a ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. For a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the Israeli military would need to lift the blockade on Palestinians. Additionally, this could pave the way for a prisoner exchange deal.
