Pune – Vishal Agarwal, the father of Vedant Agarwal, a minor who caused the death of two individuals by driving under the influence of alcohol, has been arrested. It has been revealed that their family has connections with Chhota Rajan. Vedant Agarwal’s grandfather, Surendra Agarwal, who came to provide bail for him, has direct ties with Chhota Rajan. An incident from 2007-08 has come to light. All cases related to Chhota Rajan were transferred to the CBI by the Mumbai Sessions Court, including a case involving Surendra Agarwal. In this case, Surendra Agarwal had met Vijay Tambat, an associate of Chhota Rajan, in Bangkok.

Vedant Agarwal’s grandfather sought Chhota Rajan’s help in a property dispute with his brothers. In connection with this, a case of attempted murder of a person named Ajay Bhosale is registered against Surendra Kumar Agarwal at Bund Garden Police station. However, despite the expected application of the MCOCA, Pune Police only applied sections of the Indian Penal Code against him. Surendra Kumar Agarwal was not arrested until the charge sheet was filed.
