Case related to arrest of three Indians in the Nijjar murder case
New Delhi – “It is political compulsion in Canada to blame India. Elections are going on in Canada and ballot box politics is going on. Our biggest problem right now is in Canada. Because in Canada, actually, today the party in power in Canada, and other parties in Canada have given these kinds of extremism, separatism, and advocates of violence a certain legitimacy in the name of free speech. See, when you tell them something, their answer is no no we are a democratic country but it is free speech,” said Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar. Jaishankar expressed his stand after Canada arrested 3 Indians in connection with the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. According to Canada’s CBC news channel, the three arrested belong to the gang of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
MEA S Jaishankar has also made several serious accusations against Canada –
Despite repeated warnings, Canada has provided shelter to organised crime groups
Canada has not yet released the information about the arrested Indians. We are waiting for it. Those arrested are believed to belong to dubious groups. Canada has given shelter to organised crime groups from the state of Punjab, despite repeated warnings by India.
The Canadian Police does not cooperate with us at all
Whatever is happening over Nijjar’s murder is due to Canada’s internal politics and has nothing to do with India. Canada has no evidence against India over Nijjar murder. The Canadian Police is not cooperating with us at all.
Pro-Khalistan ballot box politics in Canada
Some pro-Khalistan people in Canada have organised themselves politically and have grown into an influential political lobby. As the ruling party does not have the required number of MPs, it must depend on the support of some such parties and leaders. Ballot box politics is not so much a problem in the US as it is in Canada.
A reaction will be given according to ‘Newton’s principles’
Canada needs to understand, it is no longer a world that runs as a one-way street. If action is taken, according to Newton’s principles, there will be a reaction in politics as well.
If suspects are harboured, it will impact our relations
Canada has welcomed several organised crime groups from Punjab. We have been telling Canada saying look these are wanted criminals from India, yet you have given them visas. Many of them have entered Canada with forged documents, yet they are allowed to live there. If you accommodate such dubious people for political purposes, there will be problems in our relations too. Canada has not yet extradited 25 people to India despite India informing about it. Many of them are pro-Khalistan.
