Mr. Jay Prakash, Deputy Commissioner of Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Board, has ordered the Kolluru Mookambika Temple Shrine Committee to inform the Mandir-Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh (Federation of Religious Institutions and Temples) about every decision being made regarding the temple in order to bring transparency in the temple management.

Freedom House, the US organisation that assesses ‘Freedom’ in the various countries around the world, has displayed a map of India on its website. The map does not show the territories of Kashmir, Aksai Chin, Islands of Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep. Kashmir is inseparable part of India.

Govt of India removes the word ‘Halal’ from its Red Meat Manual

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has removed the word halal from its ‘Red Meat Manual’ following protests from Hindu right-wing groups and Sikh organisations against ‘halal’ certification for products in the country.
