Singapore recalls the product from the market

New Delhi – Singapore has announced that Everest fish curry masala imported from India, was recalled from their market. The spice is being recalled from the market alleging that it contains high levels of pesticide called ethylene oxide. The Everest company has not responded on this yet.

Singapore Food Agency has said in a statement that the Hong Kong based ‘Centre for Food Safety’ has issued a notification to recall the Everest fish curry spice imported from India, as it contains extra quantity of ethylene oxide. Oxides are allowed to be used in accordance with Singaporean regulations to sustain spices for longer, but its high content in Everest fish curry spice puts potential health risks for the consumers.
