Kejriwal sent to judicial custody till 15th April

New Delhi – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been in jail since 21st March in the liquor policy case, has been remanded in judicial custody till 15th April. On 1st April, Kejriwal was presented at the hearing held at Rouse Venue Court, when the Court gave the above order. After his arrest on 21st March, he was sent to ED custody from 22nd to 28th March. His remand was extended till 31st March in a retrial. Kejriwal has asked for the book ‘How Prime Ministers Decide’ along with Shrimadbhagawadgeeta and Ramayan to read while in the prison.

In another case, Surjit Singh Yadav filed a PIL against Kejriwal. Through this, it was demanded that Kejriwal be banned from issuing Government orders from jail. This petition has been rejected by the Court.
