Nandurbar – Mahendra Jawheri and Manisha Jawheri, residents of Gharkul colony in front of the Civil hospital here, have been issued a notice by the Police stating that during Ramazan, they should not cause inconvenience to Muslims through loud sound of the television or other sound devices. The notice mentions of an oral complaint regarding noise disturbance. This notice is circulating widely on social media. The notice has been sent by the Police inspector of Nandurbar Police Station, stating that ‘action will be taken if the above instructions are violated.’

Editorial Perspective

Do the Police ever send such notice to Muslims against loudspeakers on mosques ? This suggests that as Hindus are tolerant, Police pressurise them.
