Fanatical Muslims attack Hindu shopkeeper with a knife for playing Hanuman Chalisa

Incident occurred in a Muslim-majority area in Bengaluru, Karnataka !

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – There is a Hindu owned mobile phone shop on Jumma Masjid Marg in Nagarathpet in Bengaluru. A Hindu youth named Mukesh was attacked in this shop with a knife by some Muslim youths after allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during the Azaan (call to the mosque for prayer). Mukesh has been admitted to the hospital due to injuries. The Police have registered a case against 6 youth in this case and 3 of them have been arrested. They are being searched based on the CCTV footage. A video of the attack has gone viral on social media.

Assaulted as a revenge for denying donation

Regarding the incident, Mukesh said that 6 people came to the shop. I don’t know anything about them. I was playing bhajans at 6 in the evening, when they came and said that they were suffering due to it and asked to stop the songs. This led to an argument and then they attacked me. I had no introduction with them before this. They used to visit the shop occasionally to collect donations. I did not use to donate. Being a mobile phone shop, they used to come and ask for bluetooth, headphones. I never gave anything. With the same anger in mind, they beat me with the intention of revenge. All the information and CCTV footage have been handed over to the Police. I cannot read Kannada and so, I do not know what is written in the First Information Report (FIR). Mukesh expressed his suspicion that the Police might have written whatever they wanted.

There will be protests if the accused are not arrested, traders warn

After this incident, many shopkeepers gathered in front of the Halsuru Gate Police Station. The traders demanded that the culprits be arrested immediately and warned that if they are not arrested by the evening of 18th March, they will stage a protest.

VHP and BJP criticise the Congress Government !

Vinod Bansal, National Spokesperson of Vishva Hindu Parishad, said that a case was registered against 6 persons including Suleman, Shahnawaz and Danish, but there is no news of any arrests yet.

Union Minister Pralhad Patel asked whether Hanuman Chalisa has been banned in Karnataka. From the Pakistan Zindabad slogans in the State Assembly to the Rameshwaram cafe blast, it highlights the Congress Government’s failure to maintain law and order in Bengaluru, which has encouraged anti-national elements.

Editorial Perspectives

  • It has been noticed from many incidents that Hindus are suffering more these days. It has only been a few months since the Congress Government came to power. There are still 4.5 years to go. God only knows what Hindus will have to suffer in this period !
  • Where are the so-called secularist political parties and their leaders who otherwise claim that Muslims are insecure in India ?
