Lucknow jeweller made fourteen ornaments of Shriramlalla

Lucknow (Ayodhya) – There is no doubt that every Ram devotee would be curious to know about the gold ornaments on the murti of Shriramlalla enshrined in the Shriram Temple. All the ornaments on the murti were made by ‘HSJ’ establishment at Lucknow. The owner of this establishment, Ankur Aggarwal, informed that all the ornaments were made in just twelve days. A total fourteen ornaments have been made. Also elephants, horses and other toys are made for Shriramlalla to play with. Gold, diamonds, rubies and emeralds have been used for making all these toys.

‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’ had approached Ankur Aggarwal on 1 st January and asked to make ornaments befitting the age of five-year-old Shriramlalla.

1. The forehead Tilak is made of 16 grams of gold. There are three carat diamonds in the middle of this Tilak and 10 carat diamonds on both sides. Ruby has been used in it.

2. Around the neck of Shriramlalla is a necklace of five gold beads weighing about 500 grams. 150 carats of rubies and around 380 carats of emeralds have been used in it. The Suryavansha symbol is in the centre.

3. The largest necklace around Ramlalla’s neck is the Vijayamala, which weighs around 2 kg. It is made of 22 carat gold. There are various religious symbols on it. These include Lotus, Conch, Chakra, Kunda, Parijat, Champa and Tulsi. This necklace reaches the feet of the murti.

4. An emerald is set in the ring made for Shriramlalla. The weight of this ring is 65 grams. It is studded with four carats of diamonds and 33 carats of emeralds. A dark green Zambian emerald is set in the middle of the ring.

5. Shriram has a 26 gram gold ring on His right hand. It is also studded with diamonds and rubies.

6. A belt of 750 grams of gold has been made to adorn the waist of Shriramlalla. It has 70 carats of diamonds and about 850 carats of rubies and emeralds.

7. A 400 gram bracelet of 22 carat gold has been made for Shriramlalla.

8. Shriramlalla has two sides of 850 grams of gold in both his hands. It is studded with 100 diamonds and 320 emeralds and rubies.

9. The bow and arrow in Shriramlalla’s hand is made of one kg gold of 22 carats.
