Mira Road (Dist. Thane) – On the night of 21st January, many religious fanatic Muslims suddenly attacked a procession in the Muslim-majority Naya Nagar area of Mira Road in Thane district on the occasion of the Shriram consecration ceremony. Numerous videos capturing the incident have since become viral on various social media platforms. Intriguingly, despite the onslaught by these religious fanatics in large numbers, there appeared to be no retaliatory actions taken by any Hindu individuals present. Notably, the area where the incident occurred is known to be Muslim-dominated, with sections of the population referring to it as the ‘Gaza Strip’. (What was the Police administration doing when areas with such names were being established in India ? – Editor)
Despite the evident presence of numerous religious fanatics in the videos, the Police have only filed cases against 5 individuals. (Police registered cases against only 5 individuals just to pacify Hindus. Regrettably, this happens when there is a pro-Hindu Government in Maharashtra – Editor)
1. The religious fanatic youths abruptly intruded into the procession, forcefully smashing the glass panes of the slow-moving four-wheelers participating in the procession by kicking and striking them with rods. They also hurled stones at the vehicles, causing injuries to Hindus inside the cars and in the procession. Some fanatics even forcibly opened the doors of the four-wheelers. A woman is also seen injured in a video.
2. The fanatics proceeded to remove the saffron flags from the cars, snatching, tearing, and throwing them onto the road.
3. Bikes were also not spared, as the fanatics engaged in vandalising them as well.
4. Throughout these actions, the fanatics chanted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and hurled abuses.
5. Following the aforementioned incident, tension escalated in the area. The Police intervened, detaining several individuals, and urging for calm. Subsequently, a significant Police presence was deployed in the area, and an inquiry into the matter has been ordered.
6. The procession primarily comprised members of the Jain, Marwari, and Gujarati communities. In the aftermath, Hindus are demanding action against the religious fanatic Muslims involved in the incident.
