Killing me will not affect the Khalistani movement : Gurpatwant Singh Pannun

New York (US) – The United States has arrested an Indian citizen, Nikhil Gupta, in connection with the alleged conspiracy to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the head of the Khalistani terrorist organisation ‘Sikhs for Justice’. Pannun said that this action is not being taken against Nikhil Gupta, but against the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. He said that India probably felt that by calling me a terrorist, the entire world would come gunning for me. However, killing me will not affect the demand for Khalistan.

According to the New York Times, terrorist Pannun said that he is not aware who Nikhil Gupta is and neither does he know any Indian officials. He does not fear death as he lives in the US, the land of the brave and free.

It is important to know who is responsible and guilty of the crime – US

US Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby reacts to the US-India relationship after the Nikhil Gupta case. John Kirby said that India is a strategic partner of the US. We will continue to work to improve and strengthen our strategic partnership with India. However, at the same time, we have taken the case of conspiracy to murder seriously. We are satisfied that India has also taken the matter seriously and started the investigation. Our position is clear that those who are guilty of this crime should be held accountable.
