Gaya (Bihar) – A young woman, Ulia Zhitomarus Skye, from Ukraine performed ‘Pind-daan’ for the soldiers and civilians of both the countries who were killed in the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Skye offered ‘Pind-daan’ at Devghat on the banks of River Falgu here.

When reporters spoke to Skye she said, “My parents died in this war. I have also come here to pay tribute to the souls of soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in this war. If there is salvation anywhere in the world, it is in Gaya. I am doing ‘pind-daan’ at Gaya for the second time. Last time I came here, I felt peace. We pray for peace between the two countries”.

Editorial Perspectives

  • A slap in the face of the so-called progressives and seculars in Bharat who question the Shraddha ( A ritual performed for the departed ancestors) and criticise it.
  • When the science-oriented westerners start to believe Hindu rituals and act accordingly, then the so-called progressives of India will follow them.
