New Delhi – The Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani has refuted the ‘Hindenburg Report’ against group. He said, “The report was based on misleading and baseless allegations. Such allegations were deliberately made by the Hindenburg establishment to tarnish our reputation”. In January, US-based Hindenburg establishment had issued a report, making serious allegations against the Adani Group. In it, the Adani Group was accused of financial fraud. Consequently, the share prices of Adani Group companies had fell sharply. The opposition parties, picking up the points from the Hindenburg Report, had made several allegations against the Union Government.

Adani further said, “The Hindenburg establishment accused us only because of its self interest and selfish motive. Misleading stories were spread against us, through social media and various news. The Supreme Court had constituted a committee to investigate the matter. The committee’s findings revealed no evidence of regulatory misconduct or any wrongdoing on our part. This makes it clear that this attempt by Hindenburg was ‘a cunning plot to destabilise the Indian share market”.
