Memorandum submitted by SDPI to Director-General of Police, Karnataka

Mangaluru (Karnataka) – On the backdrop of Hindu Rashtra Jagruti Sabha being organised on 12th March, Iliyas Mohammed Tumbe, Secretary of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), has demanded the Director-General of Police, Karnataka for action to be taken against the organisers of the Sabha.
In the memorandum sent to the Director-General, Tumbe said that organising a Hindu Rashtra Jagruti Sabha is against the Constitution of our country and it’s a well-planned conspiracy to destroy the nation’s secular tradition. Any attempt to build this nation as per religion is anti-national. This nation has witnessed that if anyone attempts to declare it as an Islamic country, Christian country, Buddhist country, etc, then immediately a case of treason is filed against them. However, for establishing a Hindu nation, Hindu Rashtra Sabhas have been organised in the past, but there was no legal action taken against them. Posters of the same Sabhas are now being widely put across the city and still, the Police have not taken any action against the organisers. This is worrisome. I am requesting the Director-General of Police to take strict action against the organisers of this Sabha.
