Chennai – ‘Haindava Seva Sangam’ has been organising the Hindu Religious Conference in Mandaikkadu Bhagavathi Amman Temple every year during the Masi Kodai festival for the past 80 years. Since the British times, the aim of organising this Conference was to provide the Hindus religious education and prevent their conversion by the Christian missionaries. This year, the DMK Government refused permission saying that no private programmes can be organised in the Temple. The ‘Haindava Seva Sangam’ organisers had already organised and distributed the programme invitation. They also constructed the pandal, but it is said that the Government refused permission at the last moment.

Editorial viewpoint

This is the anti-Hindu stand of Tamil Nadu’s DMK Government ! There has been an increase in anti-Hindu activities after the DMK Government was formed in Tamil Nadu. The only way to stop this is through effective Hindu unity !
