Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati’s challenge to Maulana Arshad Madani

New Delhi – Responding to Maulana Arshad Madani’s statement (as mentioned above), Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati, Shankar-acharya of Jyotish Peetha, said that if Maulana Arshad Madani claims that ‘Om’ and ‘Allah’ are the same, then he should write ‘Om’ on their mosques to prove it. It should be started from the Kaaba in Mecca. ‘Om’ should be written there in gold letters. After that, it should be written on the Jama Masjid in Delhi. ‘Om’ should replace ‘Allah’ wherever the latter is written, because both are one and the same in his eyes.

Jamiat leader Maulana Arshad Madani claims that ‘Allah’ and ‘Om’ are one !

New Delhi – A Convention of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind was organised from 10th-12th February at Ramlila Maidan here. Saints from all religions had been invited to the ‘Sadbhavana Sammelan’ organised on 12th February. At that time, while opposing the statement of RSS Chief, Jamiat leader Maulana Arshad Madani said that ‘Allah and Om are one and the same’.

RSS Sarsanghachalak H.H. Mohan Bhagwat had recently said that ‘Hindus and Muslims have the same ancestors’. Arshad Madani opposed his statement.

What did Maulana Madani say ?

Maulana Arshad Madani is the uncle of Jamiat Chief Mahmood Madani. Maulana Arshad Madani said, “When there was no one (no Gods), the question is who did Manu worship ? Very few people know that when there was nothing in the world, Manu would worship Om. I asked, ‘Who is Om’. Some said Om has no colour, no shape. Like the air, it is everywhere. It made the skies and the earth. I said this is what we call Allah. You call the same thing Ishwar. This means that Manu, as in Adam, used to worship Allah, that is Om. No one can prove that Manu did not (worship) that Allah who created the Earth”.

Jain Muni Lokesh’s protest

Right after Arshad Madani’s speech, Jain Muni Acharya Lokesh of ‘Ahimsa Vishwa Bharati’ said, “None of us agree with what Maulana Arshad has just said. I request you, if you have to talk of anything, then talk of love between us (communities). All the stories that he (Madani) has just told – of Allah, Manu, etc. – I can tell you many more stories. “Madani saab, you are like my father – I invite you to Delhi for discussions, you call me to Saharanpur and I will come … you can’t erase India’s history. I don’t accept what you have said, nor do any of the Sarvdharmik Sants who are present here today. If we are in agreement with anything, then it is that we should all live peacefully together. Apart from this, all these stories you are telling are pointless. You have ruined the Sadbhavna Sammelan that was meant for unity”.

Jamiat President Maulana Mahmood Madani opposed by Sufi Islamic Board

Sanatan is the original Dharma of India !

Mahmood Madani had said earlier in the Convention that India is the Motherland of Islam. The Sufi Islamic Board objected to this.

The Sufi Islamic Board’s National Spokesperson Kashish Warsi said, “Islam is not the original religion of India. Sanatan is the original Dharma here. As for Mahmood Madani, he is a fatwa factory. Islam was brought by the Muslims when Hazrat Matlatul Auliya, Makarbur Sharif came. Then came Qasim bin Malik from Arabia to Kerala in India. Then Khwaja Garib Nawaz of Pakistan came here and propagated Islam. Islam spread here because of their character and good behaviour. Today, the Government of the country does not consider any Muslim as an outsider”.
