• Relatives and supporters assault Police during arrest
• ₹24 lakh cash and two unlicensed pistols seized

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan

New Delhi – Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. At the time of arrest, many places including his house were raided. Two pistols and ₹24 lakhs have been seized in this raid. Khan’s relatives and supporters assaulted the Police while they tried to arrest him. This led to a call for Police reinforcement. A case has been registered against the assailants. They will also be arrested.

1. One pistol, some cartridges and ₹12 lakh cash were seized from Kaushar Imam Siddiqui, aide of Amanatullah Khan, while one pistol and ₹12 lakh cash were seized from another aide Hamid Ali Khan.

2. It has been alleged that Amanatullah illegally recruited 32 persons, violating all norms and Government guidelines and some properties of the board were also rented out. Amanatullah had also allegedly misappropriated funds of the Delhi Waqf Board comprising grants in aid from the Delhi Government.
