Sri Lanka to promote tourism of places related to Ramayan – Sanath Jayasuriya

Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Sri Lanka’s newly appointed tourism ambassador and former cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya said that the country is going to focus on promoting tourism of places related to Ramayan for Indian tourists. There are 52 tourist places linked to Ramayan in Sri Lanka. Currently, Sri Lanka is facing a financial crisis and wants to focus on tourism to boost the economy.

The Indian High Commission tweeted that Sanath Jayasuriya met the High Commissioner. During the meet, discussions were held on strengthening ties between India and Sri Lankans and promoting tourism as a part of recovering the economy of Sri Lanka.
