RSS worker attacked in Malur; accused Syed Waseem held

Kolar (Karnataka) – Ravi, the President of the Malur unit of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Organising Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) District unit, was attacked with a knife by a fanatical Muslim named Syed Waseem. During this attack, Ravi was injured and is being treated. Members of RSS and VHP staged a demonstration in Malur on 6th August seeking the arrest of a person who attacked an RSS functionary. Near the Marikambha temple, Ravi has a shop.

Syed Waseem and another person had an argument for some reason there. Waseem attacked Ravi with a knife after Ravi tried to settle their dispute. Waseem has been arrested after Ravi filed a complaint with the Malur Police.

Editorial viewpoint

Hindu leaders in Hindu-majority India are insecure. Only the establishment of the Hindu Rashtra can prevent attacks on Hindus.
