Nineteen MLAs suspended for a week for causing ruckus in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi – Nineteen MLAs are suspended for a week for shouting slogans in the Monsoon Session of the Rajya Sabha. Earlier, four MPs of Lok Sabha were suspended. There was uproar in the session due to GST and rising prices. The Government is blaming the opposition for posing obstacle in the working of the House; whereas the opposition is accusing that the Government is evading discussion on these topics.

This Adhiveshan will continue till 12th August.

Editorial perspective

There is no use suspending them, they should be issued a fine for wasting precious time of the Adhiveshan; along with it, their salary and allowance should be stopped.
