New Delhi – PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ashok Stambha on the New Parliament building on 11th July. But the opposition members accused the Government of distorting the faces of the lions by showing them angry and keeping their mouths open. They also said that the lions’ mouth on the emblem kept in Sarnath Museum is not open.

Sunil Devre associated with the making of the emblem said that no changes were done in the lions’ faces, they were exactly the same as in Sarnath. The original craft and the copy look different because of the different angles when the photo was taken.
