The indictment alleges that Hossain incited the Sheikh’s supporters for violence after the assassination. Hossain had telephoned the Police and told them, ‘The village is on fire, let it burn, you don’t have to come’. The CBI claimed that several people in the village had contacted Anarul Hossain and requested him to call the Police, but he did not help the people, and instead, told the Police not to come.
