Maulvi Ilyas Sharafuddin questions Hindus in a debate hosted by a news channel

New Delhi – During a debate session, Maulvi Ilyas Sharafuddin asked Hindus, Why do you worship genitals ? Why are you doing this ? Why do you worship Linga by going against the Vedas, Gita, Shriram and Shrikrushna ? What do you have to do with Linga ? These questions were raised during a debate on Gyanvapi hosted by the Hindi news channel Zee News. He was sickly-smiling while asking the questions. Thakur Devkinandan participated in this discussion. Maulvi’s statement is going viral on social media. BJP leader Tajinder Pal Bagga has demanded that the Uttar Pradesh Police should take action against him.

Maulavi Ilyas asked the same question again shortly after the discussion why are you worshiping Linga and Yoni ? Why are you taking crores of Hindus to hell ? Bring them on the path of Shriram and Shrikrushna. Let go of the path of Ravan and Kansa. (Those who reject the worship of Idols have no right to ask questions of Idol worshipping in the Hindu religion. Hindus across India should take action against the Maulavi who is hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus – Editor)

Ilyas has insulted Hindus in the past as well

Ilyas had earlier also made such a derogatory statement in a discussion session on another news channel. Where he said that Hindus have a habit of worshiping Idols and genitals. It is mentioned in Hindu scriptures that those who worship Idols will be sent to hell. (In which scripture is it written ? Hindus should lawfully question those who spread such confusion amongst Hindus – Editor). He also said that those who perform such acts of worship are ignorant and blind. Further in the discussion, he insulted one of the dignitary participants in the discussion. As a result, he was thrown out of the discussion.

When will the Government of India take action against those who make derogatory statements about Hindu places of worship ? Why doesn’t the Police file a complaint and take action against them ? Why Hindu organisations are inactive about this ?
Why do Islamic countries remain silent about Maulavi (religious Islamic leader) who make such statements ? When anyone insults the Muslim places of worship, it is wrong; and if your religious brothers insult the Hindu places of worship, then you will remain silent ! Hindus and the Government of India should question these countries now !
