More than three thousand Hindus flee Kashmir

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) – Frightened by the ongoing killings of Hindus in Kashmir, Kashmiri Hindus and Hindus employees from other States started fleeing on the night of 1^st June. So far, more than three thousand Hindus have left the Kashmir Valley and fled to Jammu. Thousands more are ready to leave. However, the citizens have accused the Administration of preventing them from leaving their homes and traveling. Due to heavy Police deployment at Indiranagar in Srinagar, Hindus are not coming out. There are eight thousand Hindu employees in Kashmir Valley.

1. In a video that has gone viral, a Kashmiri Hindu woman employee is seen appealing to leave for Jammu. She is saying that we have been living here for many years but the situation which has arisen today is completely out of the control of the Government. So, all of us employees have decided that we are going to leave the valley. Now it is up to the Government whether to give us jobs there or not.

2. The Kashmir Minority Forum said that after bank employee Vijay Kumar`s killing, they have decided to stop the ongoing protest against Government. They said that now we have no other option so we are starting to migrate.

Kashmiri Hindus boycott Kheer Bhavani Mela

Kheer Bhavani Mela(fair) was organised on 8^th June at Tulmul in Gandharbal District of the Kashmir valley. This fair could not be organised for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, now the Kashmiri Hindus have announced to boycott the Kheer Bhavani Mela.

This decision has been taken to condemn the ongoing killings of Hindus in Kashmir.
