Chitrakoot (UP) – Sixteen ashtadhatu Idols worth several crores of rupees were stolen from the ancient Balaji temple here on the night of 9th May.

However, on 15th May, the thieves left 14 Idols outside the Mahant’s house along with a letter stating that they were having nightmares after committing the crime. They were unable to sleep, hence, leaving the Idols outside his house.
