Attacker Murtaza is mentally ill, says Akhilesh Yadav

Case of attack on Shri Gorakhnath temple

Editorial comment

It has become clear from time to time that the Samajwadi Party is a party that supports jihadi terrorists. During the rule of this party, Karsevaks were shot dead and their bodies were tied with large stones and thrown into the river Sharayu. Now the Uttar Pradesh Government should enact a law to take action against the party supporting jihadis in this way !

Lucknow (UP) – The Samajwadi Party has taken a stance to defend jihadi Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, who was arrested for trying to attack the Shri Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party has termed Murtaza as ‘mentally ill’.

Former CM and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘Murtaza’s father had told that he was mentally ill. Therefore, it is also necessary to pay attention to the illness of a person with this type of mental illness, but the BJP is unnecessarily stretching this issue’. What is fact ?

Recent Police interrogation of Murtaza revealed that he had links to jihadi terrorist organisations. He is very clever and was trying to carry out a terrorist attack. A video of Zakir Naik, a role model for jihadi terrorists, was also found in a laptop and a mobile phone set seized from him. He used to watch videos of lone-wolf attacks. Police have also found an airgun in his possession. With that, he used to practice shooting at home.

Murtaza has no mental illness, says his first wife

Murtaza has also been divorced for allegedly assaulting his first wife. His first wife Salma also clarified that he does not have any mental illness.
