Why is such news not published by the media ? Would it affect the secular image they carry if they publish such news ?

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – The number of people renouncing Islam in Kerala is increasing. An organisation named Ex-Muslims of Kerala is being run in Kerala and Dr Arif Hussain Theruvath is the president of this organisation.  Ayesha Markerouse renounced Islam and identifies herself as an atheist. She said, “I had been thinking about this for the last 10 years.” I had many doubts about Islam. I made a firm decision to renounce Islam after reading the biography of Mohammad Paigambar. Human rights are denied in the biography”. There are many like Ayesha who renounced Islam in Kerala. They have to face the wrath of religious fanatics.

Dr Arif Hussain Theruvath said,

There are many Muslims who have abandoned their religion but are reluctant to declare it openly as they fear repercussions from society. Over 300 Muslims have abandoned their religion over the years, 200 of them openly come out in support of the organisation. There might be many people who have abandoned Islam but are not in contact with our organisation. These people do not come out and openly admit it as they are branded as “Kafir” in society. They are boycotted. They are excluded from the property. They are harassed physically, mentally and on social levels.

For the first time, the organisation has come out in the open even though we have been active for the past 10 years. Now we will spread the work of this organisation across the Nation. We will register the organisation in Tamil Nadu.
